Preisgewinner stellen E-Government-Dienste vor[en

Ein Portal für die Gastronomiebranche, ein Projekt für die Wiederaufrüstung von Computern und deren Spende an Schulen, Krankenhäuser und Vereine, ein Regierungsportal und eine Back-Office-Anwendung zur besseren Zusammenarbeit zwischen Regierungsdiensten sind die diesjährigen Gewinner des Europäischen E-Government Awards.

At a conference in Lisbonexternal  on 19-21 September 2007, ministers in charge of eGovernment agreed on the following priority policy actionsPdf external in order to deliver quality e-government services throughout Europe: 

  • Cross-border interoperability; 
  • reduction of administrative burdens; 
  • inclusive eGovernment, and; 
  • transparency and democratic engagement. 

The ministers invited the Commission to take a range of actions to that effect. 

During the Lisbon Conference, four projects from the Netherlands, France, Norway and Germany were rewarded for their achievement in different areas of eGovernment: 

  • The city of Amsterdam received an award in the 'better public services for growth and jobs' category for its project Horeca1external , a one-stop-shop for hotel, restaurant and café licences.
  • In the 'social impact and cohesion public services' category, the French city of Besançon received an award for its project Besancon.clicexternal , which collects donated computers, repairs them in a workshop for disabled people and then gives them to institutions in need, both locally and in Senegal.
  • The Norwegian Ministry of Government Administration and Reform was given a prize in the 'participation and transparency' category for its self-service citizen portal Mypageexternal .
  • And finally, the portal of the German federal government received an award, in the 'effective and efficient administration' category, for its public services directoryexternal , which connects on-line public services. 

The Slovenian EU presidency will host the next eGovernment conference and eGovernment Days, under the motto of "Alliance with Users", on 11-13 February 2007, in the city of Brdo.
