The creation of a youth organisation internet database was the specific outcome of the European students forum AEGEE conference in the Netherlands on 8 April, entitled 'Youth on the move: let's go global'. This was an international youth congress on local globalisation action frameworks.
Following workshops on youth empowerment, peace and stability, intercultural dialogue and international economic development, an action paper was produced.
The paper also called on the UN to hold a year of corporate social responsibility in education in the least developed countries.
Further co-operation with Global Youth Action Network (GUYAN) is envisaged. In addition, AEGEE is planning to step up co-operation with the Club de Madrid organisation linking the organisation's youth summit with the current debate on global security.
