EMF organises successful e-business conference

The 'Regulating & Facilitating eBusiness' conference on 25-26 June offered a review of the key legal and policy aspects affecting e-business.

Background: 
A conference organised by the European Multimedia Forum (EMF) on 25-26 June 2002 on 'Regulating & Facilitating eBusiness', reviewed some key legal and policy aspects affecting e-business:
  • Review of EU policy initiatives in support of e-business;
  • Developing a single market for e-business;
  • Selling financial services online;
  • Removing restrictions on online sales;
  • Protecting intellectual property;
  • Towards a European regulatory framework for online gaming;
  • Building and regulating networks conducive to e-business;
  • 6th RTD framework programme: focus on encouraging the participation of SMEs in EU projects.
The Information Society update conference is organised yearly.
