Under a partnership agreement, TeleCities and Deloitte & Touche have joined forces to create an European eDatabase for promoting eGovernment across the Union.

Background:
The aim of the partnership is to increase knowledge-sharing and cooperation in eGovernment-related developments, and to promote "eCitizenship for All" on the local level. As part of the project, a major annual benchmarking study will be carried out to identify best practice and promote international knowledge-sharing.

The agreement between

TeleCities(the major European network of cities committed to leadership in Information and Knowledge Society) andDeloitte & Touche(the global professional services organisation) comes against the backdrop of increasing interest across Europe in eGovernment and the concept of eDemocracy.
