EU PROJECTS

EurActiv as EU project partner / communicator

Including the EurActiv media in an EU project is an opportunity for a consortium to disseminate project results and/or include unique multilingual web content. EurActiv also provides web project management, diffusion of new technologies, credibility for EU tenders, and a unique network of diffusion partners, especially in Central Europe and in UK/France/Germany.

Potential Contributions:

EurActiv's core activity is to provide content and develop multilingual web products, but our contributions go beyond that. We provide:

  • Dissemination/communication:

We promote results of EU projects, relying on wide usage by EU correspondents, like a free press agency (ca. 10% of users are journalists, see Survey) and advertising when needed

  • Credibility for EU projects:

Thanks to our reputation in EU circles and to an excellent network of partners.

  • Central European opening:

Network of Policy Portals in Central Europe. See CrossLingual™

Around 30% of our users come from Central Europe.

  • Web content production & management:

We develop and manage policy and interactive web content. For example, see our syndication services.

EurActiv's role as a project partner:

EU Projects - be they R&D proposals or service tenders - typically require a work package/module on communication/dissemination. EurActiv is the ideal partner for this task and more.

Apart from our corporate sponsors and EU Institutions, EurActiv has established relations with a number of partners and others:

  • NGOs, think tanks
  • Politicians
  • Industry

We can also play an important role in developing and maintaining contacts with all "EU actors" interested in EU projects. This includes Members of Parliament and Government representatives, constituencies to which the EU is keen to demonstrate the "value for money" of its programmes.

We organise project dissemination and media coverage, and set up user panels consisting of media, information, and public affairs specialists to help by advising and evaluating our collective contribution. We are a first point of reference when it comes to demonstrating project results.

Short presentation of EurActiv:

With approximately 1.5 m. page views and more than 135 000 unique users per month (see "Audience", for most recent figures), EurActiv is the leading independent portal fully dedicated to European policy reporting. Founded in 1998, EurActiv provides information to the "Community of EU Actors" (representatives from corporations, professionals, industry federations and NGOs, together with the EU institutions and the press). EurActiv brings together the skills of more than 25 professionals with experience in EU affairs, journalism, information and communication and internet technology. For its content, EurActiv relies not only on its own editorial team but also on numerous content partnerships, as well as links to the national press and the EU institutions. EurActiv is a web publishing company, incorporated in the UK and with a Brussels project office, creating its own content and managing content channels to deliver high quality content to professional users.
