ECOFIN:Preparing Feira Summit
The Ecofin meeting of 6 June will concentrate on preparations for the coming Feira Summit of 19-20 June. Finance ministers will debate Broad economic Policy Guidelines, and try to adopt a report on the so-called Tax Package. Other issues on the agenda are: the Commission progress report on the implementation of the Action Plan on Financial Services, the EIB Innovation 2000 Initiative, money laundering and Guidelines on state aid for environmental protection.
Ministers of the 11 Euro member states already met informally on 5 June to discuss French plans to strengthen the role of the Euro-11 Group.
