Parliament wants more action to reduce use of pesticides - 28 March 2003 - News

Pesticide Residue Monitoring Programme reveals 96 per cent of food samples are safe - 28 May 2002 - News

The Food and Veterinary Office of the European Commission has published the report of the year 2000 pesticide residue monitoring programme. The report highlights the results of the analysis of pesticide residues in 45,000 samples of fruits, vegetables and cereals.

Too much pesticide in European food - 09 August 2001 - News

A recent European Commission survey has found that more than half of all French vegetables, fruits and cereals have traces of pesticide residue. Twelve percent of the contaminated French produce and cereals has been found to have potentially dangerous levels. Only the Netherlands and Austria faired worse.
