With the launch of the Farm to Fork strategy earlier this year as part of the European Green Deal, the importance of food systems to be fair, healthy and environmentally-friendly has been set firmly on the European policy agenda.
Specialty food ingredients play a key role in the food value chain and can help achieve the goal to have healthy people living on a healthy planet. We developed an infographic which illustrates the benefits of specialty food ingredients for specific dietary needs such as allergies or intolerances and ageing. The infographic also highlights their contribution to healthier diets and how reformulation can help address non-communicable diseases.
