Senate chair Ružena Sabová has denied media reports stating that the decision to acquit the alleged masterminds behind the double murder of journalist Ján Kuciak and his fiancee Martina Kušnírová had been made by two senate members, who outvoted her.
“The mediatized information on the voting of the judges on the verdict from 3 September is false“, said Sabová in a statement. Information on how the senate votes is not made public.
Meanwhile, steps are being taken to reinstate the original investigation team for the Kuciak case – that was dissolved once the case was filed with the court – to potentially support the prosecution in the appeal. (Zuzana Gabrižová | EURACTIV.sk)
