Bucharest decided to close schools between 11 and 22 March

In Romania, two more coronavirus infections were reported on Monday (9 March), bringing Romania’s total to 17 (five of whom have already recovered), and the country has decided to close schools between 11 and 22 March, with the possibility to prolong the suspension if needed, to avoid spreading the coronavirus epidemic, the country’s education confirmed.

The suspension has been enforced as of Wednesday to give parents a day to find solutions to take care of their kids who are getting so many days off.

Besides, the authorities decided to suspend rail and road transport between Romania and Italy until the end of March, after a similar decision on flights was enforced as of Monday (9 March), according to a decision of the Emergency Committee. (EURACTIV.ro)
