DUBLIN – More cases confirmed

The Irish Department of Health has announced that a further 74 cases of COVID-19 have been identified, bringing the total in the Republic to 366. Dublin currently has the highest number of cases at 14.

The National Public Health Emergency Team published on Wednesday (18 March) evening a breakdown of who had been hit the hardest from the outbreak in Ireland.

Figures show that 40% of cases are male and 59% female.

Other data shows that 42% of cases are travel-related, 22% are associated with community transmission, 17% are as a result of local transmission and 20% are currently being investigated. (Samuel Stolton | EURACTIV.com)
