Slovenian satellites Trisat and Nemo HD will fly into space on 19 June, Vesolje-SI, the Slovenian Centre of Excellence for Space Sciences, where Nemo HD was produced, confirmed to STA news agency. Preparations for the launch, which has been postponed several times, will begin next week.
Nemo HD is a 65-kg high-resolution microsatellite which will enable the capture of multispectral images of the Earth’s surface and the recording of HD video.
The Trisat nanosatellite will have the ability to observe the Earth based on multispectral images captured in the shortwave infrared spectrum. Its main goal is to test the robustness of new space electronics. (Zoran Radosavljević | EURACTIV.com)
