The MCB report details of dozens of incidents of Conservative councillors or representatives allegedly sharing Islamophobic content online, as well as an MP, Karl McCartney, retweeting posts by Tommy Robinson, former leader of the English Defence League, a racist fringe group.
In response, the Conservative party has said that it “consistently takes decisive action to deal with any incidents of hatred, abuse or intimidation”.
