Romania suspends flights from and towards Italy

The Romanian government has decided to suspend flights from and towards Italy until 23 March. Also, people coming from Italy, China, Iran and South Korea, regardless of the means of transport, will either go into quarantine or self-isolate at home.

Events with a larger attendance count of 1,000 and over will be banned, while smaller events will need special permission from local health authorities, the government announced.

As the number of reported infections rose to 15 in Romania on Sunday, the Romanian Football Federation announced matches will be held without supporters, while public transport companies have started looking for solutions to ease congestion at rush hours. (EURACTIV.ro)
