37.3% of the Polish population support the ruling Law and Justice (PiS) party, while 26.9% back the largest opposition block (KO), according to a poll conducted by the IBRiS Market and Social Research Institute based in Warsaw.
With presidential elections approaching in May (without the official date having yet been confirmed), the poll also found that 44% of those surveyed would pick incumbent President Andrzej Duda, while 23.3% would back Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska (KO).
In the same poll, the Left came in third with 12.9%, while the far-right Konfederacja is the only other party that is above the 5%-electoral-threshold.
And with regard to the upcoming presidential elections, PSL’s Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz had 7% support among those surveyed. (Łukasz Gadzała | EURACTIV.pl)
