Comments on: Proximus CEO: High quality Belgian network ‘is reflected in the price’ EU news and policy debates across languages Tue, 28 Aug 2018 21:27:57 +0000 hourly 1 By: sesquatch Fri, 12 May 2017 05:56:57 +0000 My understanding is that proximus lobbied successfully for year to maintain an artificially low radiation limit in Brussels (some 40x lower than in other capitals) which has prevented competitors to install antennas). Hence proximus managed to keep the best quality network and a high price that came with it.
How does this work in practice? I am using a virtual mobile provider (mobile Vikings) which I believe uses the Mobistar network which is still mediocre in Brussels and used to be quite crappy in the city until recently.
