Comments on: Europe’s digital union is stuck in Brussels EU news and policy debates across languages Wed, 29 Aug 2018 04:15:38 +0000 hourly 1 By: Petros Kosmetatos Mon, 10 Apr 2017 10:10:37 +0000 It is clear that at some moment Europe should be seen as a single area of interest for telecoms networks. What does this mean?
– Companies should be able to sell their products in any region, regardless the Member State;
– Any reference to local digital rights should be dropped. For example: what is the meaning for Belgian or Greek Apple Store? There should only be a European Apple store. Same for Netflix, for satellite packets etc.
– Any reference to roaming should be dropped. Roaming should completely disappear as soon as possible (we are getting close to this!)
– Copyrights should be pan-European. For example: If I have legal right to watch a movie / listen to a song / read an a e-book etc in Germany, I should have exaclty the same right in all Europe.
– And more I assume…
