Huawei’s Broader Way Forum is a series of events that take place around the world, bringing together influential ICT stakeholders from the public and private sector, including industry experts, academics, operators, internet service providers, government officials and media.
It encourages dialogue and concrete actions to promote broadband innovation as an enabler of social and economic development around the world.
Ryan Ding, CEO of Huawei Carrier Network Business Group, and Dr Hamadoun I. Touré, Secretary-General of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), gave keynote speeches at the event and shared their thoughts and insights on how broadband drives the digital society.
Participants explored topics including the social and economic benefits of the digital society and of broadband penetration, the role of governments in maximising the impact of broadband, and the investments required to sustain the broadband revolution.
