The annual conference of the European Banking Federation is a landmark Brussels event discussing key developments in the European banking sector. The conference brings together chief executives from leading European banks with EU-level regulators, policy-makers, and other stakeholders in Europe’s economy at large.
Under the title ‘Banking for the Future’, the 2014 EBF conference will take stock of recent developments in banking regulation, including Banking Union. The list of topics to be addressed includes the comprehensive assessment, the launch of the new single supervisory mechanism, new measures to encourage economic growth in Europe and innovations in the field of digital banking and customer interaction that are changing traditional business models.
Christian Clausen, President of the EBF and Chief Executive of Nordea Bank, draws together the discussions in the high-level CEO Roundtable that concludes the conference, together with Wim Mijs, CEO of the EBF, and Frederic Oudea, CEO of Societe Generale.
