“The real economy hasn’t changed after the elections, the situation is still the same,” said on Wednesday EU Commissioner for Jobs and Growth Jyrki Katainen, after leftist anti-bailout party Syriza won a general election in Greece on Sunday.

International creditors have already indicated that the new Greek government will have to stick to its bailout commitments, despite new Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras’ wish to renegotiate the conditions of the EU loan.

“I don’t expect that many changes from our part,” Katainen added.
