Grybauskaite’s message to Cameron: “Some countries need to pay, some countries receive money back”

On her arrival at the December 2014 EU Summit on Friday, Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskait? said that “each year we have a final revision of the budgets and some countries need to pay, some countries receive money back.”

Grybauskait?’s comments come after UK’s Prime Minister David Cameron was left fuming following an EU request for an additional 2.1 billion contribution towards the EU budget.

EU leaders met in Brussels on Thursday and Friday to reach an agreement on the new climate and energy policy framework for 2030. The last EU Summit chaired by Herman Van Rompuy also looked at the state of the European economy and address some foreign policy issues. Ebola was on the official agenda too.
