European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said on Wednesday that it is “premature” to discuss a third bailout programme for Greece and warned Athens “to avoid unilateral measures.” “We are going to focus on implementing what was agreed in the Eurogroup,” he added.

Juncker spoke during a joint press conference in Brussels with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who was in town to hold talks with the full college of European Commissioners about Greece and Ukraine.

Merkel said “we need to implement what was agreed in the Eurogroup. We have plenty to be getting on with to make this agreement work.”
