Moscovici on Greece: “We need to reach an agreement”

“We want and we need to reach an agreement. The will is there,” said EU Economic and Financial Affairs Commissioner Pierre Moscovici ahead of a “decisive” meeting of eurozone finance ministers in Brussels on Monday.

“I think we have a good capacity to conclude positively. So let’s not talk about next steps if we don’t succeed, let’s talk about just one thing: to succeed today,” Moscovici said.

“We are entering into a meeting two minutes from now, which has only one objective –  to have a positive conclusion. This positive conclusion is about Greece in the eurozone, taking into account the programme that the Greek voters chose but also the full respect of commitments from Greece to its partners,,”he added.
