Tackling migration through cohesion: what role for regions and civil society?

With the EU’s New Pact on Asylum and Migration presented recently, the issue of migration remains on the top of the agenda for decision-makers across the bloc. Though most often thought of as the competence of national governments, local and regional authorities as well as civil society have a role to play.

EURACTIV looks into the migration challenges regional authorities face, how the EU’s cohesion policy can help and what the future holds for migration management from the perspective of civil society.
