Tsipras calls for a ‘European solution’ to the Greek crisis

“This is not exclusively a Greek problem, this is a European problem and European problems require European solutions,” the Greek premier said on Wednesday (8 July) in Strasbourg.

Addressing the European Parliament, Tsipras urged EU leaders to reach an agreement that “demonstrates that there is light at the end of the tunnel”.

“We demand an agreement with our neighbours but one which gives us a sign that we are, on a long lasting basis, exiting from the crisis,” he added.
