Immigration: ‘Strait is the gate’

Published in December 2006, Issue 5 of the web magazine Regards croisés – Europe at the centre of intellectual debate is set to tackle a subject that has been a catalyst for much debate and conjecture: immigration.

Taking their cue from the Brussels summit on 14-15 December 2006, 15 students from the Bruges campus take a close look at immigration in nine countries. For the individuals involved, immigration can be a nightmare or the chance of a lifetime, but, whatever their fate, it will leave its mark on their economic status and identity.
