Letta: Banking union is a big step forward for Europe

As EU leaders gather in Brussels for the last EU summit of the year, Italian Prime Minister Enrico Letta said that agreeing on the much-awaited banking union deal is a ‘big step forward’ for Europe.

The December EU Council Summit will have security and defence and the economic and monetary union as the main topics on the agenda.
