One year after the Brussels attacks, the city remembers those lost

Wednesday (22 March) marks the first anniversary of the Brussels attacks, which took over 30 lives and injured many more, shocking the capital of the European Union.

Throughout Brussels, citizens are mourning for those who were lost. King Philippe visited Brussels Airport, and Maalbeek metro station, where last year’s killings took place.

European Parliament President Antonio Tajani (EPP) also held a press conference highlighting the wave of terror in Europe, explaining the necessity of moving forward from the tragedy.
