This recent International Food Policy Research Institute publication draws attention to the neglect of water issues that could lead to a genuine water crisis, consequently triggering a food crisis. The authors argue that if current water policies continue, so will high levels of food insecurity, environmental degradation and water-related ill health. The book examines policies and actions that could help avoid these outcomes with a view to achieving sustainable and efficient water use, enough food for the world’s people and adequate drinking water for all.
