Analysis: Science and Engineering Indicators, 2006

The United States’ National Science Board has published its Science and Engineering Indicators 2006, which describe some major US and international science and technology (S&T) developments since 1990, taking occasionally a longer view.

Science and Engineering Indicators 2006 paints the global R&D picture, gives the major US national R&D trends and describes trends, for example in research article output. It also considers mathematics and science learning and teaching and trends in science and engineering education and labour force.
