For Zero Discrimination Day on the 1 March 2021, EURACTIV’s partner, the Young European Federalists (JEF Europe), conducted a mapping of the regional attitudes in Italy, Romania and Sweden towards the concept of discrimination, particularly discrimination based on ethnic origin.

The aim of this report is to understand the mindset at local level and the different realities within these differing cultures. The analysis has been done in the form of surveys, translated into local languages and spread through the local civil society organisations and national equality bodies.

This report is part of the project MINDSET – Moving the Ideas of Non-Discrimination: Supporting an Equality Transformation – co-financed by DG JUST. The consortium is composed of EURACTIV (coordinator), via its Brussels, Berlin and Paris offices, EURACTIV Romania (ADB) and JEF Europe (Young European Federalists). See here for more information on JEF Europe and their Report.
