Time for EU’s talk on diversity to be matched by actions, says leading MEP

Ursula von der Leyen’s European Commission is talking a good game when it comes to tackling discrimination on race, gender and sexual identity but now faces a ‘crucial moment’ when these promises must become reality, Swedish MEP Alice Kuhnke tells EURACTIV.

Meanwhile, the pace of improvement in terms of diversity within the EU institutions remains extremely slow.

The Green lawmaker also discusses how progressive parties must tackle the EU states that have blocked non–discrimination legislation for over a decade, and how to empower civil society to drive ‘sustainable societies’.
