The EU’s special representative for the Serbia-Kosovo dialogue, Miroslav Lajčak, announced on Thursday (17 September) that expert-level talks between Belgrade and Priština were about mutual financial claims and property, and that they had demonstrated the complexity and sensitivity of those issues.
“Just finished today’s talks with the chief negotiators Marko Đurić and Skender Hyseni on mutual financial claims and property. Our discussions confirmed the complexity and sensitivity of the issue. To be continued,” Lajčak tweeted.
During the talks, the heads of delegations of Belgrade and Priština, Marko Đurić and Skender Hyseni, first had separate meetings with EU mediators and then had a new round of trilateral talks.
Đurić said the Serbian delegation had insisted on the subject of the Community of Serb Municipalities being put on the agenda, and that Priština had opposed that.
