An appeals disciplinary board of the Bosnia and Herzegovina High Court and Prosecutorial Council (VSTV) upheld a decision to dismiss Chief State Prosecutor Gordana Tadić.

The second-instance disciplinary board noted that Chief State Prosecutor Tadić was suspended because she did not allow automatic case assigning without her influence and because lower-level officials in the State Prosecutor’s Office did not pass security checks.

Chief State Prosecutor Gordana Tadic had been previously warned by the head of the Intelligence and Security Service (OSA), Osman Mehmedagić Osmica, when he asked to remove prosecutor Oleg Čavka so that he would not continue the investigation of his higher education diplomas. The documents later turned out to be forged. Local media published secret recordings of their conversation, lasting some 80 minutes.
