Chinese FM: Friendship with Serbia stable and unbreakable

The friendship between China and Serbia is stable and unbreakable, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi told a joint news conference on Thursday after meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.

China “is proud to have such a genuine and good friend” like Serbia and thanked Belgrade for its “unambiguous support” regarding questions that are of “vital importance” to Beijing, China’s foreign minister added.

“Under the strategic leadership of [Chinese] President Xi and Vučić, the traditional friendship between Serbia and China has gained a new vitality. For us, Serbia is a special place and 1.4 billion Chinese know that we have a friend of steel in the west of the Eurasian continent, and that is Serbia,” Wang said.
