He said the situation is being monitored, stressing that there is necessary infrastructure and a sufficient number of soldiers and police officers at the border. “The Belarusian regime is attacking the Polish border, it is attacking the EU borders in an unprecedented way”, the president added. He said he spoke on the matter with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg on Tuesday (9 November) morning. “We are witnessing an unprecedented aggression of Belarus against Poland and the whole European Union”, statesdStanisław Żaryn, spokesman for Poland’s Minister-Special Services Coordinator. He pointed out that the regime in Minsk is trying to exploit the situation for propaganda purposes. “The picture of Poland […] is as follows: Warsaw is to blame for the border crisis and for the acts of violation of human rights,” he added. The situation at the Polish-Belarusian border has become very tense in recent days. A vast number of migrants escorted by Belarusian services arrived in Kuźnica. According to the government, about 3,000-4,000 people attempted to cross the border illegally. As the state of emergency remains in force, the media and human rights activists cannot work in the zone.
