Federation BiH entity (Bosniak and Croat one), which takes approximately a half of the country’s territory, was close to running out of gas after a malfunction on the gas transport route in Bulgaria, which meant that the delivery to BiH was interrupted. Serbia immediately managed to buy the necessary energy from Hungary.
Nermin Džindić, minister of energy, said that BiH agreed with Srbijagas to provide a certain amount of gas to overcome the problem.
As Klix.ba has learned, the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, has approved Srbijagas to lend 300,000 cubic meters to BiH by morning, and if necessary, to borrow more tomorrow (no more than 600,000 cubic metres).
According to the latest information, the gas should flow through the pipes to Sarajevo and Zenica again during the night.
