Another Greens youth spokesperson echoed this sentiment. “There is no reason for [a] Jamaica [coalition],” said Georg Kurz, as the 9% vote loss by the conservatives had clearly shown they were not fit to govern. The Greens youth organisation has 15,000 members and is traditionally more left-leaning than the main party. The co-leaders of the Greens, Annalena Baerbock and Robert Habeck, are regarded as “Realos” and are currently in negotiations with the business-friendly liberal FDP to find common ground ahead of talks with the election-winning social democrats. “We have very little in common with the FDP,” warned Green youth spokesperson Kurz, a sentiment not shared by Baerbock who stated that the parties were similar in their belief in human rights and regulated immigration on Tuesday. The Greens are currently also battling whether to sideline Baerbock following her series of blunders during the election campaign, which is blamed for a worse than expected result. (Nikolaus J.
