Minister of Human Resources responsible for healthcare Miklós Kásler said he is absolutely certain that the need for a fourth vaccination must be taken into account in an interview with InfoRádió on Monday, Telex reported.
In Kásler’s view, the timing of the fourth jab would not be four months after the second vaccination, as it is after the first, but longer.
However, he also said he would only know for sure when four to five months have passed since the third vaccination.
Kásler also said the fifth wave of the pandemic has started in Hungary, and if there is no new mutation and no significant increase in the number of infections, the peak number of daily infections could reach 13,000, with 8,000-9,000 hospitalisations.
