VMRO-DPMNE President Hristijan Mickoski has called for early general elections to be held quickly, so that North Macedonia will have a fully legitimate government.

Forming new parliamentary majority would not help resolve existing problems but lead to futile negotiations which will not respect the will of people expressed in local elections, Mickoski added.

“Even with Zoran Zaev gone, the Government would still have Venko Filipče, as the least successful Healthcare Minister, who had one of the highest coronavirus death rates in the world. Ljupčo Nikolovski would still be in charge of fighting corruption in one of the most criminal and corrupt administrations in Europe”, stressed Mickoski.

The governing SDSM party, dismissed the comments, arguing the parliamentary majority is stable.

Foreign Minister, Bujar Osmani, said that all members of the government coalition support the current parliamentary majority.
