The next Open Balkans Summit will be held in the first half of June in Ohrid, said North Macedonia Prime Minister Dimitar Kovačevski following his online meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama on Tuesday.

The meeting with Vučić and Rama about the future steps of the joint, recognised and successful Open Balkans initiative was very important, Kovačevski wrote on Facebook.

“At the Ohrid summit, important agreements and memoranda for cooperation in culture, tourism and economy will be signed and that is why Culture Minister Bisera Kostadinovska Stojčevska, the Economy Minister Kreshnik Bekteshi and Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy Minister Nikovski Ljup were present at this meeting,”  the prime minister added.

North Macedonia’s prime minister also pointed out that the Open Balkans initiative remains open for Montenegro, Kosovo and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“We are Europe together”, the prime minister said.
