Serbian parliament speaker Ivica Dačić has met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Moscow to discuss the Belgrade-Priština dialogue, the situation in the region and global politics.

Dačić and Lavrov expressed readiness to continue contributing to further development of strategic relations bilaterally and multilaterally, according to a release from the Serbian parliament published Tuesday.

Lavrov underlined that Russia would continue to support Serbia in preserving territorial integrity and sovereignty, adding that Moscow would endorse a solution to the issue of Kosovo and Metohija which would be acceptable for Belgrade.

Dačić, who is staying in Russia until 4 June, said on Monday that Belgrade would never back sanctions against Moscow. (EURACTIV.rs | betabriefing.com)
