Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said on Wednesday that although Greece has assured Belgrade it would not recognise the independence of Kosovo, warming relations between Athens and Priština were “certainly not the best of news” for Serbia.

“I do not want to speak ahead and before we actually know something. Since there have been changes in relations, I am waiting to see if that is just a trade office or something more between Greece and Kosovo, as they say, which is between Priština and Athens. We shall see how that proceeds and then inform the public,” Vučić told TV Pink in an interview.

After a meeting with representatives of the German company Bizerba, Vučić said that “in the next few days, there will be major important consultations” in Belgrade about Kosovo and that he expected the EU-mediated dialogue in Brussels with Priština to resume after that.
