European quarter seized by anti-TTIP protestors

EU leaders finished their summit late last night (18 December), avoiding major protests that have completely blocked the Brussels’s European quarter today (19 December).

Over the night convoys of tractors from Wallonia travelled to Brussels. The area around the flagship buildings of the Council and the Commission was completely blocked this morning, both by police and by tractors.

Many of the protestors raised banners against The Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP).
