New web portal launched on sustainable development reporting

The World Business Council for Sustainable Development has launched a new portal, which aims to help companies develop their sustainability reports.

The World Business Council for Sustainable Development has
recently launched a new portal that provides information on the
current issues companies are tackling in their sustainable
development reports. The website is aimed to serve as a tool for
companies to help them generate ideas and make informed decisions
on what information to include in their own sustainable development
reports.

The portal presents the reports of 43 companies
covering 18 sectors ranging from mining to the service industries.
It also provides a step-by-step guide to help companies develop or
improve their sustainable development reports.

The launch of the reporting portal was preceded
by the release of a report on 6 January, which explains the added
value of sustainable development reporting and provides tools to
produce such reports (see also

2003
