New Slovenian Commissioner-designate for transport Violeta Bulc will be quizzed by MEPs on Monday, only two days before the new Juncker commission is due to be voted on by the European Parliament in Strasbourg,
Bulc was chosen by Juncker to replace former Slovenian Prime Minister Alenka Bratusek, after 112 MEPs considered her unfit for the job.
“Bulc came across as a straight forward, well-prepared person, with an impressive quality to learn fast,” said Jean-Claude Juncker spokesperson Margaritas Schinas.
Juncker’s choice has been criticised as Bulc has very little political experience. It remains to be seen what MEPs will think about her qualifications as a Shaman and her unique methods of communication.
The European Parliament can only accept or reject the entire commission, which is due to take office beginning of November.
