The European Commission said on Tuesday that national governments have failed to use the latest caller location technology to help emergency services find people who use the 112 pan-European emergency number. According to the EU executive, only 41% of Europeans realise they can reach the emergency services everywhere in Europe by calling 112 free of charge.
